California Vioxx Class Action Dismissed

This California class action against MERCK, the manufacturer of Vioxx, was to recover patients medication expenses for Vioxx. Vioxx, now off the market, was given as an pain/arthritis medication but increased the risk of heart attack and stroke causing thousands of injuries. This class action however was only about recovering the costs of prescriptions. It has no implications for Vioxx claimants who have made other claiims, such as those who (from our firm) have filed suit in state court in New Jersey (where MERCK is based).  For more information about this case in California, click here.
