Should I be concerned that my workers' compensation checks might get cut off?

A: The most common reason for your checks stopping is that the workers’ comp doctor has released you to return to work.  That’s not the only situation however. If the insurance company thinks you are not cooperating with the authorized doctor, or this treatment he has ordered, they can stop your checks.  Once you have reached maximum medical improvement, there are the insurance company can cut off your checks as soon as you accept a job from your employer, or reject a job offer that is at or above your former pay.
