U-turns in front of Motorcycle

Motorcycle wreckMost motorcycle wrecks are caused by car drivers who just aren't looking. Some maneuvers, like U turns are especially dangerous. A car making a U turn has a duty to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic, including motorcycles. In one of our recent cases, that's exactly what happened. Our client was driving down a city street when a car made a sudden U turn in front of him. The motorcycle driver had no where to go and was seriously injured. Keeping a proper lookout is the duty of every driver. Safe operation of a motorcycle isn't enough when a driver of a car just doesn't look to see what is there.
