Motorcycle accident kills passenger

Motorcycle accident kills passenger

July 8, 2009

Helmets are the most important safety equipment any motorcyclist can use, but in a contest between a motorcycle and a car...

Cynthia Brown, 56, was a passenger on her husband's motorcycle Tuesday morning. At 10:20 a.m. they were on Hwy 70 travelling east when they collided with a Ford van.

THP information officer Mike Browning said Wood had just crested a hill when he saw two vehicles stopped in the road.

“[Brown] was attempting to make a left turn, when [Wood] attempted to avoid the other vehicles, he braked, and skidded into the path of the motorcycle,” Browning said.

The THP said alcohol was not involved in the accident.  For more information, click here.
