Fatal Motorcycle Accident leads to debut of Alan Jackson's "Sissy's Song"

If you ride long enough you start to notice just how often some biker will lose their life in a motorcycle accident.  It touches all walks of life, the rich, the poor, the blue collar worker. Even members of Nashville's country music industry are tragically touched by these loses from time to time,  Such is the case of "Sissy".  She was an employee of Alan Jackson.  Sissy lost her life in May 2007 in a motorcycle accident.

"I didn't sleep for a while," said Jackson." So, I sat down one day and wrote this song and after that I felt all right." Jackson recorded the song and gave it to the Fitzgerald family for the funeral. "A lot of people told me how much it made them feel better and helped them get through it a little easier, so I was very proud of it."
Jackson debuts a new video being released today to memorialize Sissy.  In some ways I suppose it will memorialize or touch in some way all of those who have lost friends and loved one's in these tragic motorcycle accident's. I for one will watch the video as I'm sure her loved ones left behind will, and think of the times had, and the times that could have been.
