Deer in the Headlights

As most people know, deer are NOT an endangered species, with current estimates at approximately 27 million in the U.S.A. Tennessee is estimated to have more than 1 million deer, and it is not uncommon to see them on roads in Nashville and other cities. Nationwide there are 500,000 deer/vehicle collisions annually, causing more than 100 fatalities and tens of thousands of injuries. The key to surviving? Don't swerve.
