Dealing with Insurance Companies

Dealing with insurance companies can be difficult. It's not an even playing field. There are a few basic things that you should consider.  First, be careful when you fill out any forms. The insurance company was deliberate in organizing the form you are completing, and know where to look for information that will allow them to deny a claim or minimize your recovery. Second, document your contacts with the insurance company including the date of contact, name of the person you spoke with, and the what was discussed. You can be sure that the insurance company is tracking every conversation with you, without your own record they may "forget" something that was discussed earlier.
